Psalm 37:23-24 (ESV)
“The steps of a man are established by the Lord, when he delights in his way; though he fall, he shall not be cast headlong, for the Lord upholds his hand.”
DEVOTIONAL
Life is full of stumbling. We make mistakes, fall into sin, face hardships, and sometimes feel like we’re barely holding on. But take heart—God is holding you. This psalm reminds us that our steps are not random; they are ordered by the Lord. He doesn’t just watch from a distance. He upholds us with His hand.
Yes, we may fall, but we will not be destroyed. Why? Because our security is not in our grip on God, but in His grip on us. He is a loving Father who lifts us when we are weak, corrects us when we go astray, and strengthens us to walk again.
So if you feel weary today, know this: you are not alone. Your steps are known by God, and His hand is steady. Keep walking in faith—He won’t let you go.
Prayer:
Father, thank You for upholding me, even when I stumble. Strengthen my heart to trust in You, and guide my steps according to Your will. Help me to rest in the assurance that You will never let me fall beyond Your grace. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
