Psalm 28:7 (ESV)
"The Lord is my strength and my shield; in him my heart trusts, and I am helped; my heart exults, and with my song I give thanks to him."

The Lord is Our Strength
Life often weighs heavy on our shoulders. We face struggles that drain us, decisions that overwhelm us, and fears that creep in when we least expect them. But here in Psalm 28:7, David reminds us of a simple yet profound truth—our strength doesn’t come from within ourselves. It comes from the Lord.
When we try to rely on our own wisdom, energy, or efforts, we eventually wear out. But when we rest in God, trusting in His strength and protection, we find real help. He doesn’t just give us temporary relief; He upholds us completely. David’s response to this reality is not only trust but worship. His heart exults, and he gives thanks with a song.
Take a moment today to reflect on God’s strength in your life. Have you been trying to carry your burdens alone? Lay them before the Lord in prayer. Trust that He is your shield and your help. And like David, let gratitude and praise flow from your heart, because the One who holds you is faithful.
Prayer:
Father, thank You for being my strength when I am weak and my shield when I am afraid. Help me to trust You more fully and rest in Your perfect care. Let my heart be filled with gratitude and praise for all that You are. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
